Last weekend I was invited to participate in the ONE Music Festival - www.onemusicfest.com – as a featured artist. So I got a few friends to come out n help set up a table were I sold some of my limited edition shirts and canvas prints. I was planing on doing a live illustration demo but that didn’t happen due to rain. Over all it was a great time, hanging out with friends, got to see Common, De La Soul, and Goapele, plus I sold  a good amount of merchandise. First poster design I did for DJ Kemit. The job was to come up with a piece of art that symbolizes a mix of African and South American music and culture. The second poster was a job I did for super producer, Los DaMytro. The instructions were pretty simple, he gave me the artist’s pictures, name and song title and said “make it fly”. I was happy with the outcome and more importantly both clients were very happy, and have sent me more work since then.

Few weeks back my good friend 4ize hired me to design his first official full length album cover. “AwesoMania”. Now when he first said “AwesoMania” I was like… OK, whats that!?!

He proceeded to to explain his vision of being transformed into the black Hulk Hogan and raising an army of AwsoManiacs to represent EVERYTHING AWESOME!! in which I replied… freaking awesome! I was real excited when he shared the list of guess appearances. I’ve had the perrivlage to hear a handful of new songs for the album and there is no doubt this is going to be an ATL Classic.

4ize is very familiar with my work and how I do my thing so the process was cake. A simple photoshoot, little research on all things awesome, and one creative briefing in the green room.. and BAM!!! “AwesoMania!!!” This has to be the first piece that I worked on n was laughing out loud by myself.  4ize and I continue to work together so expect the unexpected. I promise it will be like nothing you’ve seen before.

Making Moves in 2010!

Its been over a month since my last post. Hope you don’t think its cuz I don’t have much going on. Its quiet the opposite. I’ve never been so busy in my life. I’ve secured a few new clients and had to raise my rates cuz the demand is more then I can handle on my own. I’m in the process of moving into a new office. 669 Atone St. NW Atlanta Ga 30318. Its a small upstairs loft located in between Stankonia and Zac’s Recording. Prime location for lots of new traffic. This is a real exciting time for me, not only am I seeing my business grow but I find myself surrounded with creative professionals that I respect and encourage a new level of excellence.
